Rapids Must Win Match Coming on Weds. 11/2 in Kansas City, KS

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Sunday, October 30, 2011) – The Colorado Rapids will train on Monday and Tuesday ahead of Wednesday night’s Conference Semifinal second leg at Sporting Kansas City, with the Rapids needing to win by at least two goals to stay alive in the MLS Cup Playoffs.

A rough match on Sunday evening at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park saw the Rapids forced into making all three substitutions for injured players, as Caleb Folan, Kosuke Kimura and Drew Moor all left the match after tackles from Sporting Kansas City players. Kansas City forward Teal Bunbury scored both goals in the visitors’ 2-0 win, the second on a penalty kick after Rapids defender Tyrone Marshall was issued a red card for a foul in the box.
