Batter up! Register now for fall softball leagues

COMMERCE CITY- Don’t miss out on fall sports – leagues start soon, so hurry to register for adult co-ed softball and youth flag football programs at the Commerce City Recreation Center.

If you love softball, you’ll want to play at Pioneer Park, where the fields are always in great shape. Along with field time, all games include two officials, a score keeper and a field supervisor – so you don’t have to scramble before each game to find your own. These game benefits are not offered by all leagues.

Make your games a family outing – there are plenty of activities at Pioneer Park to keep children of all ages entertained, including playgrounds, basketball courts, a cool skate park, BMX bike track and more. Plus, the park offers a concession stand for food and refreshments.

Get your team together and sign up now for adult co-ed softball. Team cost is $470 for Commerce City residents, $500 for nonresidents. For more information, contact Tim Moore at 303-289-3763.

The Commerce City Recreation Center offers several programs to keep your kids active, from flag football to gymnastics, martial arts, swimming, dance and more.

Flag football participants will learn game basics in three co-ed youth leagues: Division 1 for kindergarten-age players; Division II for first- and second-graders; and Division III for third and fourth grades.

If football isn’t your game, try volleyball. The Recreation Center offers CARA league youth volleyball for two age brackets: 5th grade and younger and 8th grade and younger.
